What do you prefer using?…..A good old smart phone or the latest gadget sensation, the tablet?….For all those who have a hard time answering this, Asus has come up with a whole new answer……The Padfone which is expected to be unveiled at MWC 2012, which is just under three months away now.
This whole new concept, which is expected to come out by the third quarter, the next year does pack some top end specs including the new Tegra 3 chipset, featuring no less than four Cortex-A9 cores (okay, five if you count that helper core, but that doesn’t really count here). That would make the Padfone one of the first smartphones to pack so much punch under its hood and will certainly make it one of the more desirable devices at the start of next year.
It also comes with 4.3 inch screen and a host of Multimedia features ranging from the Wi fi to the bluetooth to the other features like music, 3.5 mm music jack support to the support of all the famous codecs like DivX, AAC, FLAC, AC3. AC+ etc along with a 5 MP, 2592×1944 pixels, autofocus to give the best and high quality images. The most interesting part of it is that the 4.3 inch smartphone can be connected to what seems like a 10.1 Tablet extension.
The price is also not yet available but it is expected to come near 500$ which makes it fairly affordable considering the fact that it does pack an extra 10.1 screen.
