PICKit3 Low Voltage Error in MPLAB X IDE https://electrosome.com/topic/pickit-3-low-voltage-error-mplab-x-ide/ Sat, 12 Nov 2016 22:07:18 +0000 https://electrosome.com/topic/pickit-3-low-voltagepower-error-in-mplab-x-ide/ I just purchased your PICKit3 from ebay. Received it yesterday. Wonder if you can help me with a technical problem. I am familiar with the ICD3 but never used PICKit3. I am using the Pickit 3 with MPLAB IPE to load a hex file. The chip is a 16F877A. Hex is loaded successfully in the software. […]

Driving Graphics LCD or OLED from PIC microcontroller https://electrosome.com/topic/driving-graphics-lcd-or-oled-from-pic-microcontroller/ Wed, 30 Mar 2016 16:24:27 +0000 https://electrosome.com/topic/driving-graphics-lcd-or-oled-from-pic-microcontroller/ Hello, I am using a PIC16F1829 to drive a Winstar OLED display type WEH001601A, which is a 16×1 character display.  Using the LCD Functions on the electroSome website, I have got this working very nicely.  (Although OLED, they are driven in the same way as LCD.) I now want to try using a Winstar WEG010016 […]

DC Motor speed control using PWM with PIC https://electrosome.com/topic/dc-motor-speed-control-using-pwm-with-pic/ Thu, 04 Feb 2016 17:49:49 +0000 https://electrosome.com/topic/dc-motor-speed-control-using-pwm-with-pic/ I wondered if you can please assist me with something. I came upon your article about the dc motor speed control. I am trying to do the same but what i want to achieve is when the push button is pressed the motor must turn clockwise but at a speed of 1000 rpm and when […]

USB PIC Programmer PICKit2 BAT85 Diode https://electrosome.com/topic/usb-pic-programmer-pickit2-bat85-diode/ Sat, 23 Jan 2016 14:10:28 +0000 https://electrosome.com/topic/usb-pic-programmer-pickit2-bat85-diode/ Thank you for your reply to my earlier post. While buying components for USB PIC Programmer PICKit2, I could not obtain BAT85 diodes. As per “Substitutes for Unavailable Components”, I have bought 1N5819 for replacing the BAT85(D2 in the schematic). Can I also replace D1 with another 1N5819? Waiting for your advice, Asoke Kumar Bose.

What purpose does R13 (2k7) serve? It is connected to GND in parallel with VDD as depicted in the schematic. Does it act as a voltage divider? I will really appreciate if you kindly clear my confusion. Also the […]

Unexpected behaviour of 12V DC Motor with PIC Microcontroller https://electrosome.com/topic/unexpected-behavior-dc-motor-pic/ Thu, 17 Dec 2015 12:23:45 +0000 https://electrosome.com/topic/helpassistance-required/ Dear Sir, I am trying to make a robotic car with two 12V dc motors(30 rpm) and an L293D  and using PIC16F877A. My problem is that when motors are disconnected,The voltage levels on on the output of  L293D (already connected its inputs to outputs of PIC) is changing as per the sequence in the Program. […]
