Acer Iconia Tab A200
Acer has officially extended it’s Iconia range of through the release of the 10.1inch Iconia Tab A200 last November. Featuring Android 3.2 Honeycomb os and Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor, we can’t actually expect it to feature in any high end performance rivalries. Though it does promise much more affordability when compared to other new tablets in the market . An extended android 4.0 ice cream sandwich version is expected to hit the market by January 2012.
The 260x175x12.4mm, 720g tab not only offers some neat looks but also comes with either an 8GB or 16GB of storage and a sturdy 3260mAh battery which offers 8 hrs of video playback and up to 400hrs of standby time. These specs are followed up by 1GB of RAM, a full size USB port for connecting peripherals like keyboards and a microSD card slot. It also comes with a 10.1 inch 1280×800 and a 2-megapixel front camera but no rear camera.
Then comes the usual WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, gyroscope and accelerometer, along with with DLNA media streaming under Acer’s clear.fi brand. The company will preload a slightly customized UI, too, with the so-called Acer Ring offering shortcuts to the browser, gallery, volume, multitasking and other elements of the system.
Though pricing is yet to be confirmed we expect acer will be considering that to be one of the strong points of this tablet.
